Substances you should never apply on your skin

Nowadays it is not known everything that contains a product of beauty or the damages that we do to our skin when using certain apparently innocuous substances. Even your skin may react negatively to some scrubs, masks or home remedies. That's why I've decided to share substances that can affect your skin if you apply them excessively.

PEROXIDE

The water oxygenated is very good to cleanse and heal minor skin wounds. However, this substance is corrosive in nature , and in excess could cause blisters or burns.

ALCOHOL

It works similar to oxygenated water: it also cures wounds and disinfects your skin . Besides, it burns less than hydrogen peroxide does it? And believe it or not, this seemingly harmless substance is actually very aggressive to your skin, because it causes dryness and sometimes redness .

VASELINE

It can be said that Vaseline is a multipurpose product. It was made to disinfect insect bites, to moisturize cracked heels, to heal wounds, etc. However, it has been given many uses in the field of beauty, for example: as lip balm, hand moisturizer, etc. Leaving aside a little fairy tale, it is also considered as harmful to the skin. Vaseline is a fixative that prevents the skin from breathing properly. What promotes excess fat and retention of water and bacteria .

HAIR FIXER

You do not really run into any danger if you get a little fixative on your face, it's normal. Also, why would you use hair spray on your face? Well, in case you did not know, some makeup artists use this trick to fix the makeup. It works, but it is not appropriate since this substance causes dehydration and irritation in your skin .

LEMON

Whenever I have recommended a mask or scrub with lemon, I never fail to mention that it should only be used at night. Why? Because the acid in this citrus causes spots on the skin when exposed to the sun . Even in the worst case it can cause burns.

SUGAR

Sugar is also used in homemade natural exfoliators. And yes, the results are excellent and I even tried them. However, you should be super careful when rubbing sugar on your elbows or knees, as it could irritate, redden and hurt your complexion.

SODIUM BICARBONATE

As you know, baking soda also has many uses: from personal hygiene to part of your beauty routine. Some women use it as a home scrub. However, it is a fairly alkaline substance . This factor could break the natural barrier of your skin and, as a result, would be exposed to bacteria.
